The following is an archived description of the Freshly Squeezed Pulp group from 2021.
Freshly Squeezed Pulp is a comedy podcasting troupe working to produce pulp-fiction inspired comedy podcasts in the style of old-time radio. The group primarily operates as a student group at Duke University, working out of the school's libraries and MPS Sound booth. The group is most notably known for their 2018-2021 production, The Adventures of Tarzan®, which was licensed by Edgar Rice Burroughs Incorporated in 2020 and is currently being re-released.
Freshly Squeezed Pulp encompasses a number of students and Duke University alumni who have worked as voice actors, writers, producers, editors, executive members, and even costume designers alike. While much of the group has graduated from University, the club still remains alive and active on Duke's campus, seeking to be a safe haven for young creators interested in pulp-inspired stories.
